A TV news contributor commented the other day that criticisms of the tutti frutti lineup of 2016 Republican presidential contenders are a little hollow when the Democrats can barely come up with one candidate. I agree.
I heard rumors that the four law enforcement officers who died on the day of the first siege of the Branch Davidian property in Waco were getting ready to give testimony in court proceedings related to Bill Clinton's sexual shenanigans.
This, whether true or not, is just one of the hundreds of suspicious events attributed to Bill and Hillary for three decades.
If it isn't enough that America has been subjected to nearly eight years of socialist bumbling from Barack "empty-suit" Obama, now we are expected to flip a coin over whether we will have this crazy megalomaniac at the helm. Imagine being married to her AND Nancy Pelosi.
I think you have to be a fanatical liberal ideologue to even entertain the idea of electing this harpy. I read a book by a Secret Service agent who served in the Clinton White House. He wrote that Hillary would march through the halls with an entourage of her servants, and anyone who attempted to make eye contact with her as she passed would be punished or terminated.
I've always said that America went off the rails even before the Civil War., so it is little wonder that we are now faced with the prospect of Presidentessa Maleficentissima.
Is the the Democratic party so chained to Hillary that it cannot find even ONE other candidate to run? - somebody intelligent, honorable, charismatic, seasoned, wise, respected, temperate, . . . . . ?
I mean - SERIOUSLY, PEOPLE !!! Can you even like anything about this woman? What accomplishments can she boast? Will she step forward and repudiate our bogus debt to international banks?
I guess it doesn't matter. This country is run by its owner, not the stooge in the Oval office. If you vote, you signal your acquiescence to the fraud.

Sorry, Ukraine
Russia's recent occupation of the Crimea (in southern Ukraine) is all over the news right now. Vladimir Putin has sent Russian troops to blockade and occupy every corner of the Crimea, ostensibly because the new regime in Kiev cannot yet be recognized as the legitimate government of the Ukraine.
Russia has broken treaties by invading in this way. It obviously wants the natural resources of the Crimea. Many Crimeans are Russian speakers. Russia has significant interests in the Crimea and in eastern Ukraine. Putin is smelling unchallenged victory.
American politicians are hand-wringing. The last time this happened (in Georgia and Ossetia), Putin permanently annexed two provinces. The world's leaders are not excited about imposing sanctions on Russia, and a military response is unthinkable.
Obama's impotence is legendary, and traditional U.S. allies like Germany seem to have no desire to participate in any measures aimed at punishing Putin. Why?
Well, over the last decade, Russia has built dozens of natural gas pipelines between its vast reserves in Russia and eager customers in Germany, Belgium and other European nations, supplying up to 50% of the fuel used by several countries. You have to believe that German politicians received bribes to not impede the construction of these pipelines, so . . . . .
Sorry, Ukraine, your European neighbors won't be making any efforts any time soon to protect your national sovereignty.
The U.S. State Department is threatening sanctions and restrictions on Russia, so Putin is threatening to impose sanctions on U.S. interests in retaliation. Putin even said Russia might stop using the dollar as its reserve currency in international trade. Look out !!! Money talks louder than bullets. Sorry, Ukraine.

Two Observations
I have made no secret of my distaste for Barack Obama and his push for socialized medicine. I have mocked Obaminacare too.
We are in the "honeymoon" phase of Obamacare - the phase where you find out how badly you are getting screwed.
Recent news reports are revealing that Obama has made several "tweaks" to the "law". He has single-handedly postponed deadlines, suspended implementations, and reversed mandates originally imposed by the "law" on insurance companies and employers.
Ordinarily, a law is a statement of "thou shalts" or "thou shalt nots" -- maybe a few pages. Obaminacare is not like a typical "law", rather it is a huge, 14,000-page, administrative machine. As such, it can be rather easily tweaked by an autocratic executive branch. The problem is - whether the congressmen read it or not (NOT!!), it was still (technically) passed into law (and upheld by the SCOTUS).
What has some people's knickers in a twist is the fact that, since it is a "law", Obama must not capriciously "tweak" parts of it without violating the Constitution. Congress is the only body that can lawfully "amend" the law. Obama is a crook.
From a bigger picture viewpoint, I have this second observation. A prominent U.S. economist reported in this week's news that he and his colleagues have been conducting a 25-year study of the income trends among the middle class. The study shows that middle-class families' incomes have remained "flat" for 25 years (while the affluent have become significantly richer). This bolsters Obama's lament over "income inequality". It also contradicts the theories of "trickle-down" economics. The economist didn't really try to answer the question of whether private industries or government should do the heavy-lifting to bring about change and a better outlook for the the middle class. He did say that the government should still try to do something. I agree in some ways - I think it should STOP doing things.
So when I look at Obaminacare, I see this - millions more poor people have been added to the Medicaid rolls. The rich will presumably still be able to get the health care to which they have grown accustomed. Insurance companies will have to pay out more money, and now that they have individual state market monopolies (and the promise of a federal bailout if they lose money), they have the green light to jack up premiums ad libitum. What does this mean for you and me? It means that the $750 I pay each month for family health insurance will probably double in the next two years. This huge (virtually unbearable) increase will affect whom the worst?
THE MIDDLE CLASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's an Obacle.

Drum Beat
I watched a little CNN this morning. I have this image in my mind of the job interview process for CNN anchors -
INTERVIEWER: - - "Thanks for coming in to meet with us today. Let's get started.
First, do you worship Barack Obama and his socialist ideals?"
APPLICANT: - - "Yes."
INTERVIEWER: - - "Great, you're hired. Start tomorrow."
The discussion on the network's shows today has been the horrific stories caused by the now three-day-long partial shutdown of federal government operations - children are dying of cancer, impoverished government employees cannot afford their medication, federal workers will have their homes foreclosed on, the sky will soon fall in. Sacrosanct is Obaminacare, so that more wealth can be redistributed by the government (while paying the IRS $200 million to collect it from us).
Obama calls this "the Republican Shutdown". He will not talk to Republican leaders to work out a compromise, so the shutdown may drag on for a while. Today, Obama mentioned how terrible it will be if we have not only a government shutdown, but also the "economic shutdown" which will ensue if we don't "pay our bills" and meet our "financial obligations" - translate - "continue to pay our ($1 billion dollar-per-day) interest payments to the usury-mongers. God forbid!! Then the sky really would fall in, right? Or would it?
Obama said that were we not to pay our debt payments, it would hurt all the other countries around the world. If the other countries joined us, however, in an interest payment moratorium, what would happen? I guess a few Mediterranean banking families would not collect our hard-earned paper cash that they counterfeited, and they would have to start dipping into all those gold reserves they confiscated from the world's nations.
Whom is Obama protecting?
Nobody would say that CNN's talking heads are evil, but why do they maintain this persistent pro-Obama-socialist drumbeat to convince viewers that free stuff is the right way to run a country, when the free stuff has to be stolen from other folks? I guess conservatism runs in my blood, because I cannot understand the mindset of people who want entitlements, unless a spirit of plunder runs through their veins. Obama's model is downright devilish and unconstitutional.
I'm going to watch this squabble over the next few days, because I think that the nation may soon realize that Obama is the one standing in the way of a solution. He wants you to think that it is the Republicans who are being obstinate. The law of unintended consequences may kick in.

A Distraction
Don't you get confused sometimes when you watch our stupid government bumbling around over controversial issues? Recently, somebody in Syria unleashed sarin gas on a bunch of innocent Syrians. Probably Syria's president. Hundreds of women and children died horrible deaths.
Obama has decided that he wants to bomb Syria - or part of it. For the life of me, I cannot figure out what his gameplan is. He says we have to send a punitive message so that fiendish dictators like Bashar al-Assad will think twice about using weapons of mass destruction. The element of surprise is long gone. Assad has moved critical assets. He has moved political prisoners into areas the U.S. military might target so that they can serve as a human shield.
Obama is going on TV to make his case for a military strike. Public approval for such a measure is waning fast. Republicans hate Obama, so it is their turn to argue against military interventions, while the liberal, Obama-lovin' democrats find themselves in the weird position of having to argue for action they would have excoriated Bush for contemplating.
This squabble has gone on for weeks now. I am paying attention, you are paying attention, the whole world is paying attention. Thus your attention has been successfully distracted and shifted away from all the other ridiculousness being foisted upon you by the federal government - Benghazi, Obamacare, the NSA snooping in to your emails and phone calls, the IRS targeting of conservative non-profit groups, and Bernanke counterfeiting $80 billion dollars every month, making your money shrink every day. Does Obama think he can become a conquering hero commander-in-chief and get more democratic votes in the upcoming mid-term election?
Back to Syria - think about this - why does the government/banking machinery want to push for new aggression against Syria? If we do bomb Damascus, will Assad bomb us? Will Putin decide to jump in? Will Assad bomb Israel as a reprisal? Will Iran get involved? Will this little storm in a teacup be the trigger for the long-prophesied WWIII?
I'm still confused. One thing is for sure - Obama is an empty suit, and someone in power above him is the real string-puller.
Keep your lamps trimmed and don't be distracted.

Our Enemy, The State
Allow me to excerpt some prophetic wisdom penned in 1935 by Albert Nock. I found this material on the following webpage - http://www.barefootsworld.net/nockoets1.html
Nock was witnessing the Democrats' "New Deal" power grab during Roosevelt's presidency.
Part of the world bankers' plan was to bankrupt the States and the other Western countries. In a bankruptcy, you are beholden to the demands of the trustee. Our republic and sovereignty were destroyed through a series of deceits commencing even before the ratification of the Constitution. The Constitution itself was a bankruptcy compact. The Thirteenth and Fourteenth Amendments were both ramrodded through fraudulently, and are void - except for the fact that we have capitulated and gone along with them. The Matrix movie was an exquisite metaphor for our current condition.
In the Mormon temple ceremony, we are taught that Satan will buy up armies and navies and rule with blood and horror on the earth. Throughout history, the traditional model has one nation attacking and plundering another, raping its women and confiscating its resources. The American military cannot operate - - - - without money it borrows from the banker trustee. If the bank wants a war, we have a war. Today, all nations are conquered. we are ALL in bondage. Remember, however, that when you are in prison, throwing your food in the jailer's face is not a good idea.
This is a Telestial (i.e. fallen) world. By being in it, you and I are corrupt. We are strangers in a strange land. This is not our home. The banks use you as collateral as soon as you are born. Look in the bottom right hand corner of your children's Certificate of Live Birth. There is a nine-digit number (not your SSN). This is your serial number.
What I find most fascinating is the realization that in the Mormon model of ascension to godhood, those of us who attain that station will form worlds just like this one. We will establish three races. Some of our cunning, miscegenated offspring will find precious metals and lend against them to unwitting families and nations. They will create fractional reserve banking and hand out worthless paper certificates as a substitute for real currency. They will lend and foreclose, lend and foreclose until the entire world is bankrupt and enslaved. This is what has been being done on worlds throughout the universe for billions of years. This is the proving ground. This is where you show your inclinations and true colors. This is where we find out if you belong with the wheat or the tares. If what I am saying resonates with you, then read also - -

I
IF WE look beneath the surface of our public
affairs, we can discern one fundamental fact, namely: a great
redistribution of power between society and the State. This is the fact
that interests the student of civilization. He has only a secondary or
derived interest in matters like price-fixing, wage-fixing, inflation, political banking, "agricultural adjustment,"
and similar items of State policy that fill the pages of newspapers and
the mouths of publicists and politicians. All these can be run up under
one head. They have an immediate and temporary importance, and for this
reason they monopolize public attention, but they all come to the same
thing; which is, an increase of State power and a corresponding decrease of social power.
It is unfortunately none too well understood that, just as the State has no money of its own, so it has no power of its own. All
the power it has is what society gives it, plus what it confiscates
from time to time on one pretext or another; there is no other source
from which State power can be drawn. Therefore every assumption of State power, whether by gift or seizure, leaves society with so much less power. There
is never, nor can there be, any strengthening of State power without a
corresponding and roughly equivalent depletion of social power.
Moreover, it follows that with any exercise of State power, not only the
exercise of social power in the same direction, but the disposition to
exercise it in that direction, tends to dwindle. Mayor Gaynor astonished
the whole of New York when he pointed out to a correspondent who had
been complaining about the inefficiency of the police, that any citizen
has the right to arrest a malefactor and bring him before a magistrate. "The law of England and of this country," he wrote, "has been very careful to confer no more right in that respect upon policemen and constables than it confers on every citizen."
State exercise of that right through a police force had gone on so
steadily that not only were citizens indisposed to exercise it, but
probably not one in ten thousand knew he had it.
Heretofore in this country sudden crises of misfortune have been met by a
mobilization of social power. In fact (except for certain institutional
enterprises like the home for the aged, the lunatic-asylum,
city-hospital and county-poorhouse) destitution, unemployment, "depression"and
similar ills, have been no concern of the State, but have been relieved
by the application of social power. Under Mr. Roosevelt, however, the
State assumed this function, publicly announcing the doctrine, brand-new
in our history, that the State owes its citizens a living. Students of
politics, of course, saw in this merely an astute proposal for a
prodigious enhancement of State power; merely what, as long ago as 1794,
James Madison called "the old trick of turning every contingency into a resource for accumulating force in the government";
and the passage of time has proved that they were right. The effect of
this upon the balance between State power and social power is clear, and
also its effect of a general indoctrination with the idea that an
exercise of social power upon such matters is no longer called for.
It is largely in this way that the progressive conversion of social
power into State power becomes acceptable and gets itself accepted. When the Johnstown flood occurred, social power was immediately
mobilized and applied with intelligence and vigour. Its abundance,
measured by money alone, was so great that when everything was finally
put in order, something like a million dollars remained. If such a
catastrophe happened now, not only is social power perhaps too depleted
for the like exercise, but the general instinct would be to let the
State see to it. Not only has social power atrophied to that extent, but
the disposition to exercise it in that particular direction has
atrophied with it. If the State has made such matters its business, and
has confiscated the social power necessary to deal with them, why, let
it deal with them. We can get some kind of rough measure of this general
atrophy by our own disposition when approached by a beggar. Two years
ago we might have been moved to give him something; today we are moved
to refer him to the State's relief-agency. The State has said to
society, You are either not exercising enough power to meet the
emergency, or are exercising it in what I think is an incompetent way,
so I shall confiscate your power, and exercise it to suit myself. Hence
when a beggar asks us for a quarter, our instinct is to say that the
State has already confiscated our quarter for his benefit, and he should
go to the State about it.

Obama's pick for A.G. |
Since that time, Holder has had his finger in a lot of dirty matters. He dodged congressional scrutiny in the "Fast and Furious" gun-running debacle that resulted in the murder of a border patrol agent. He squirmed out of accountability in the scandal involving his eavesdropping into the personal communications of Fox News reporter, James Rosen. The list of Holder's transgressions is long and pathetic. If Holder is the best our nation can come up with to oversee justice in America, then America is corrupt beyond repair (you knew that!).
In the George Zimmerman murder trial farce, the Florida state prosecutor and the Sanford chief of police elected not to proceed with a prosecution of Zimmerman, because there was not sufficient evidence for a jury to convict him of guilt beyond reasonable doubt. The details of the altercation between Trayvon Martin and Zimmerman are sufficiently unclear, that a guilty verdict was a virtual impossibility. Subsequent to the decision not to prosecute, the media published misleading information about the events surrounding the teenager's death. Predictably, there followed a huge public outcry, with racial outrage, and thousands calling for the lynching of Zimmerman.
Under pressure from civil rights pundits and Eric Holder's crooked justice department, Florida's Governor Scott dismissed the prosecutor and the chief of police. He then brought in Angela Corey as a Special Prosecutor to revive the prosecution of Zimmerman - sufficient evidence or not. A grand jury was set to hear the case to review the wisdom of proceeding, and Corey summarily canceled the grand jury. A new D.A. and chief of police were installed, and the prosecution proceeded. Despite the fact that even a successful manslaughter conviction would be unlikely, Corey pushed for "Second-Degree Murder". I think ousted police chief Chris Serino took wicked delight in skewering the prosecuting attorneys who called him as a state witness. He told the jury that Zimmerman's account of the events was entirely credible.
What followed is now history. Last night, a jury of six women fully acquitted Zimmerman of all charges. Yesterday, the IT manager (who had recently disclosed the fact that Corey and her prosecution team had failed to share important, potentially exculpatory evidence with the defense team) WAS FIRED !!!!
Just like the Benghazi disaster and cover up, this travesty is again highlighting the corruption of Eric Holder's Justice Department. He deliberately incited fury in certain racial populations, so now with Zimmerman's acquittal, there is fresh outrage. Thousands are incensed that Zimmerman is now free. I am gratified that he and justice were vindicated. Faith and trust in the integrity of our federal government is further eroded. Alan Dershowitz called for Angela Corey's disbarment in this article. Al Sharpton is pushing for a civil rights indictment against Zimmerman. Good luck!
Thanks Eric.

Free Soda
When I was in elementary school, I remember that I was not always happy. Some of my teachers were grumpy, and I was forced to eat garbanzo beans, even though they made me retch.
I remember that I had a desperate longing for free soda pop. The idea that there would be root beer and Dr. Pepper in the drinking fountains stirred hope and joy in my heart.
Looking back, I realize that that would have been a bad idea, so I don't dream about it anymore.
Last night's presidential election result suggests to me that many people feel like I did in elementary school. Free water isn't good enough. They want free soda pop. They want -
Free birth control pills
Free marijuana
Free phones
Free food
Free housing
Free transportation
Free loans
Free health insurance
Free immigration
Free schooling
Free money
Free everything
Of course, they forget that nothing is "free". Everything they harvest from the nanny government is obtained by having the Internal Revenue Service break down somebody's door and break his back. This reality is contorted a little by the fact that the theft is also done cunningly. When Ben Bernanke prints $40 Billion each month in phony paper Federal Reserve Notes, the theft is done gradually (remember the frog in the boiling milk). The value of your dollar shrinks every day.
Obama was able to keep the piper away until after the election, so the ongoing celebration over the continuing flood of free stuff was not disturbed by the grim tidings of insolvency or bankruptcy.
The lust for free stuff inebriated a majority of the electorate sufficiently for them to dismiss the travesty in Benghazi, and see Balack Obama as the new Pied Piper.
I shouldn't grumble - the utter destruction of this nation was prophesied millennia ago. God's "marvellous work and wonder" is inevitable.
If not already, then very soon there will be ONLY TWO types of people in this country - those who will kill someone else in order to get food; and those who would rather starve than kill another person. The scriptures allude to these two classes as "tares" and "wheat".
In which class do you fall?

Tipping Point
Cleon Skousen made a wise argument years ago. He said that the big question in the choice of a government system is not between Democrat and Republican, or even Conservative and Liberal - it is the choice between tyranny and liberty.
The source of the following quote is questionable, but I like it anyway - -
"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largesse out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."
America is at an interesting point in its history. When you look at the political landscape in America, you quickly discover that the urban, densely populated areas of the country incline towards voting Democratic, while the heartland seems to prefer the Republicans. Union members typically prefer Democrats, as do blacks, Hispanics, women, college students, illegal immigrants, Hollywood and the vast majority of the mainstream media.
Democrats typically argue for bigger government programs, more government control, more entitlement programs, more "redistribution" of private wealth, more taxation, more regulation of businesses, and more safety net programs for the sick and the poor.
In recent presidential election cycles, the actual popular vote for president has been extremely close, sometimes swinging only one or two percent in either direction. The electoral college system, however, makes certain states - Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Colorado and others - into pivotal swing states. Win those states and you can be president.
There are reportedly some 12 million illegal aliens in America. Like black people, these people would likely pick Balack Obama 99 to 1. Why? Because Obama wants to give them amnesty and a quickie path to U.S. citizenship. Why? Because he knows that if he can get these immigrants the right to vote, they will vote for him - A.) Because he was the one to let them in, and B.) Because he will give them all the free stuff he can possibly give them - free medical care, free food, free housing, free everything.
So, if the voting bloc that prefers to tax the private sector in order to fund public benefits for itself grows by millions, then the liberal Democratic model will take permanent control and never look back.

You may ask why any politician would be so stupid as to desire to take our country in such a direction. Well, if you are the politician who doles out the free benefits from the public trough, you can control the public resources and control the people who receive them. So we come back to the liberty:tyranny paradigm. It is the tension between a local government controlled by the people, and a powerful, centralized government which controls the people.
Don't think that I believe that the Republicans are more righteous than the Democrats. The tyrannies perpetrated by the Bush administration were breathtaking - 9/11, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, and the Patriot act. Corporations bribe politicians and finance their campaigns.
One thing is sure - we are at a tipping point. We have lost our understanding of the principles of freedom. We have embraced secular myths such as evolution and atheism. We have entertained a melting pot of ideas and racial carmelization. It can no longer be said that our ideals are clear and consistent. What was a nation of Christians is now a nation of who-knows-what. The Constitution was voided with the fraudulent passage of the 14th Amendment. It "hangs by a thread". Corruption and sin are rampant. The Gadianton Robbers have confiscated all four corners of the earth. All men are enslaved.
We have looked into the heavens and counted some 250 billion suns (solar systems) in our Milky Way galaxy. So far also, we have counted perhaps 250 billion GALAXIES like ours !!! I don't believe that any of the life forms here on earth arrived here by any other means than by transplantation. The Gods know what they are doing. They have been at this terra-forming game for a long time. I should not be so cynical about the progress and decline of our Father's children on this planet. He placed us here. He knew what we would do. He knows how it will end. He knows what He will do to wrap things up. He is doing what He has done on numerous other planets. If given the chance, we will do the same ourselves one day.
Still, it is bracing to be around at this spectacular tipping point. Here are some prophetic predictions from Nephi in America 2600 years ago:
5. But, said he, notwithstanding our afflictions, we have obtained a aland of promise, a land which is bchoice above all other lands; a land which the Lord God hath ccovenanted with me should be a land for the inheritance of my seed. Yea, the Lord hath dcovenanted this land unto me, and to my children forever, and also all those who should be eled out of other countries by the hand of the Lord.
6. Wherefore, I, Lehi, prophesy according to the workings of the Spirit which is in me, that there shall anone come into this land save they shall be brought by the hand of the Lord.
7. Wherefore, this aland
is consecrated unto him whom he shall bring. And if it so be that they
shall serve him according to the commandments which he hath given, it
shall be a land of bliberty
unto them; wherefore, they shall never be brought down into captivity;
if so, it shall be because of iniquity; for if iniquity shall abound ccursed shall be the land for their sakes, but unto the righteous it shall be blessed forever.
8. And behold, it is wisdom that this land should be akept as yet from the knowledge of other bnations; for behold, many nations would overrun the land, that there would be no place for an inheritance.
9. Wherefore, I, Lehi, have obtained a apromise, that binasmuch as those whom the Lord God shall bring out of the land of Jerusalem shall keep his commandments, they shall cprosper
upon the face of this land; and they shall be kept from all other
nations, that they may possess this land unto themselves. And if it so
be that they shall dkeep
his commandments they shall be blessed upon the face of this land, and
there shall be none to molest them, nor to take away the land of their einheritance; and they shall dwell safely forever.
10. But behold, when the time cometh that they shall dwindle in aunbelief,
after they have received so great blessings from the hand of the
Lord—having a knowledge of the creation of the earth, and all men,
knowing the great and marvelous works of the Lord from the creation of
the world; having power given them to do all things by faith; having all
the commandments from the beginning, and
having been brought by his
infinite goodness into this precious land of promise—behold, I say, if
the day shall come that they will reject the Holy One of Israel, the
true bMessiah, their Redeemer and their God, behold, the judgments of him that is cjust shall rest upon them.
11. Yea, he will bring aother
nations unto them, and he will give unto them power, and he will take
away from them the lands of their possessions, and he will cause them to
be bscattered and smitten. (2 Nephi 1, 1-11)

Strange
Strange - I think reporters do not know how to describe the twin towns of Colorado City and Hildale. Some refer to them as the "polygamous town". What is a 'polygamous town'? - a town which is married to more than one spouse? Is San Francisco a "homosexual town"? - a town that mates with a different town of the same gender.
I saw a news report the other day which noted that 87% of "black" Americans support the re-election of president Barack Obama. Why is that? Is it because black people feel that our country is better led by a person whose skin is black? Is it because Barack Obama is a socialist, and black people gravitate towards socialism? Who knows?
Here's another interesting factoid. You do not own your vehicle. "Wait !!!", you say, "I have a Certificate of Title!". Well, a certificate of title is not THE title. It is a piece of paper that certifies that there is a title, and you do not have it. The REAL title is the MSO (Manufacturer's Statement of Origin). Read the following from the Government's Border Protection website:
"What
documents are considered valid proof of ownership for Customs and
Border Protection (CBP) purposes when exporting a vehicle / car from the
U.S. which does not have a title?
If
the vehicle or car you intend to export does not have a title, a
manufacturer's statement of origin (MSO) is considered valid proof of
ownership."
--------------------------
When you buy a new car, the dealership sends the MSO to the State. The state keeps the MSO and continues to own the vehicle. You are merely the renter of the car, as evidenced by the annual rental payment you must make in the form of a registration fee.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
In other news, there will soon be a hearing to address whether Kody Brown's challenge of Utah's bigamy statute is now moot because Utah County has decided not to prosecute the Browns for their plural purporting and cohabiting. This is an interesting twist. My sense is that Waddoups will rule that the Browns still have standing to challenge the law because the law still menaces them and they were harmed by a long-lingering threat of investigation and prosecution. I believe that Waddoups will decide that the law clashes with the 2003 Lawrence decision and is now void.
HOWEVER . . . . . . .
If the next Attorney General (presumably Bishop John Swallow) elects (or is commanded by the Mother Church) to appeal Waddoups' decision to the 10th Circuit in Denver, the panel may choose to disagree with Waddoups (as it did with Ted Stewart in the Bronson v. Swensen case) and assert that, absent an arrest and a trial, the Browns suffered no "harm" and thus have no standing to bring the challenge.
Just like Obaminacare, folks, this is all political. Powerful people want us polyg's to be outlaws at all costs. It's easier to abuse people if their faces are on a 'Wanted' poster.
Excuse my cynicism again, but there appears to be nothing new under the monogamous (?) sun. I'm still waiting for Canada to arrest Winston Blackmore and James Oler. I'll probably turn blue from holding my breath.
Utah has a Safety Net for polygamists - put in place to rescue a disenfranchised population. The Safety Net and its sponsors have announced a policy of not seeking the decriminalization of plural relationships. After all, why would you jeopardize your public funding and agenda by arguing for a disenfranchised population to stop being disenfranchised?
Strange!

Entitlement
The word "entitlement" has been on my mind lately. I guess the concept of entitlement has implications in various phases of my life and the lives of other people I know.
-------------------
If you were an astronaut traveling alone through space, and you happened upon a friendly planet with affluent and welcoming occupants, would you expect them to give you a home, a job, and a guarantee of financial support if the job were not to go well?
I think there is a widespread and fundamental misunderstanding of the nature of property and stewardship. As long as there has been a universe and the procession of time, it has been incumbent upon living creatures to contract with each other. A contract works best when its outcome is "win/win" for both offeror and offeree. Consideration is exchanged commutatively, and both parties benefit. When we stray from this formula, the universe and its occupants suffer.
Property is a concept more ancient than this planet. Let's look at one aspect of property:
Right to property - e.g. - owning an apartment complex
Right to possession - e.g. - managing an owner's apartment complex
Possession - e.g. - occupying an apartment in the complex
Let's look at another aspect of property;
Public property - e.g. - the bridge at the end of the street
Private property - e.g. - my truck
Personal property - e.g. - my toothbrush
In my diatribes about usury and interest banking, I have railed against just one of the tricks devised to bilk others out of their property. Estate taxes are another vile racket. It is apparent to me that many of the occupants of this universe spend a goodly portion of their existence hatching schemes to deprive other creatures of their property. If you cannot simply walk into your neighbor's yard and snatch his lawnmower, maybe you can elect a politician who will do it for you.
Inevitably, the acquisition (nobly and ignobly) of property is intertwined with the tyranny:liberty paradigm. If you are hell-bent on appropriating the possessions of others, the slickest way to get it done is to oppress them. War, taxes, theft, usury, democracy, servitude, class warfare, fraud, - - - the list goes on.
We know from the Lectures on Faith that our God does not commit naked oppression. He is benevolent, honorable, omniscient, and utterly reliable. He contracts with us so that we can gain benefits. The veil over our memories causes us at times to forget the agreement we made - - hence the tendency on the part of some to expect to get everything for free.
Before we left the pre-existence and found our spirits tabernacled in a body of fleshly elements, we sat down with our Heavenly Father and worked out the mortal experience transaction. He said (and I'm paraphrasing):
"My child, if you agree, I am going to put you in a family in the western United States. You are going to have an opportunity to learn about the fullness of My restored Gospel. I can't force you to do anything, and the choices will be ALL yours. I'll collaborate with you if you stay prayerful, and I'll intervene from time to time when it suits Me. You will face awesome adversities, but it will be worth it for you if you make good decisions. Do you still want to go to Earth, or do you want to sit around here for a few hundred more earth years?"
Then I said:
"Heck, yeah I wanna go down on earth! I'm tired of waiting. I want a big family (like Yours). Put me down there, and I'll do my darndest to serve you and support my family. I'll try to be honorable and respect the properties and liberties of Your other children."
And that was that! The contract was signed. I popped out in the labor and delivery area and remembered nothing !!!! Just because we don't remember all the details does NOT mean that the contract is not still in place. Why else do we plead with God to do stuff for us? He promised, didn't He?
Sadly, the Hamurabis, Woodrow Wilsons, Franklin Roosevelts and Barack Obamas of the world have taught us that in exchange for aliening away our birthright and right to property (to a foreign banker), we can look to "society" for a cradle-to-grave social insurance blanket. This is a Ponzi scheme. If a world-wide government re-distributed ALL of the world's wealth, EVERYBODY would still be grossly dissatisfied.
This is spiritual, folks. It is the devil who preaches this crap. It is all about morality. I chuckle when I hear progressives like Van Jones calling for achievers to hand over their excess property to the under-achieving. The concept of communitarianism is not wrong. It is a fundamental plank of the higher Gospel law. The immorality emerges through the creation of oppressive, nanny-state processes that enslave both rich and poor. Re-distribution of God-given resources must be done voluntarily and by mutually-negotiated contract.
Are there people in your life who think they are entitled to your stuff - people who get angry at you when you don't give them what they want? I am fascinated to see what will happen in California. Governor Brown cannot raise taxes any higher without causing even more Californians to move to Texas. He also appears not to be able to cut any government expenses and entitlement programs.
So, when California (soon) files bankruptcy, who will be the receiver? - the IMF? - Ben Bernanke? - Alan Greenspan? - Paul Volcker? - George Soros? - Sir Evelyn de Rothschild? - China?
Wait - I can already hear the cries that "California is simply TOO BIG TO (let) FAIL!" Problem is - if we "bail out" California, then New York will be on the doorstep demanding that it be bailed out, too - - that it has a right to your hard-confiscated tax money.
Maybe we can get God to confiscate the gold and silver from a neighboring planet and bring it over here to Earth where it's most needed. After all, we are entitled to everything we can confiscate, right?
Last week, JP Morgan Chase admitted that it lost at least $2 Billion in a botched Credit Default Swap transaction. This ill-gotten gamble is likely to end up costing $4 Billion. The media went ballistic. HOW DARE a private bank, the biggest, squander that much private money so irresponsibly? Calls were made for vast new regulations to prevent this from ever happening again. Funny - the Federal government wastes that much (of our) money EVERY SINGLE DAY !!!!!

Definition:
Entitlement
- Entitlement or a 'Sense of Entitlement' is an unrealistic, unmerited
or inappropriate expectation of favorable living conditions and
favorable treatment at the hands of others.
-------------------
The other night, a pack of Hollywood celebrities hosted by George Looney gathered for a fundraiser for Balack Obama's re-election campaign. The event raised $15 million. Today, I learned that California has a more than $15 BILLION dollar deficit right now. Do you see the irony? If you were an astronaut traveling alone through space, and you happened upon a friendly planet with affluent and welcoming occupants, would you expect them to give you a home, a job, and a guarantee of financial support if the job were not to go well?

TWINS ??
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Speaking of Syrian tyranny, I just saw the following article online:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess this means that if a small group of government bozos decides that you are dangerous, they can snuff you and your family out with a missile from a drone in Anytown, USA.
If my blog posting stops mysteriously, you might be tempted to assume that Holder and Obama have assassinated me.
Maybe now people can come to a full realization that the Constitution has been defunct for decades. If a federal government official flouts the Constitution, the only way citizens can get redress is if they can exercise enough resistance to counter the actions of that official. With no real Constitutional court in place to hear such complaints, there can be no redress and no Constitution.
I quote again the chilling remarks of Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall -
"While the Union survived the civil war, the Constitution did not. In its place arose a new, more promising basis for justice and equality, the 14th Amendment, . . . . . "
(The Annual Seminar of the SAN FRANCISCO PATENT AND TRADEMARK LAW ASSOCIATION In Maui, Hawaii May 6, 1987)
------------------------------------------------
If we discover that there are living beings in the universe, we must next acknowledge that the relationships among those beings will inevitably be dictated by principles of liberty or by the grip of tyranny. Which program do you root for?
